Your first time?

 

If it is your first time to class there is no need to be worried. Tall, short, young or elderly, yoga is for every body type and everybody. We are all on our own journey to a healthier self. Our community is about building up and supporting each other in a non competitive environment.

 

Here are a few tips to get you prepared.

 

  • ‚ÄčLight and comfortable active wear recommended for dynamic classes, comfy and cosy clothing recommended for Restorative, Yin and Meditation classes.

  • Bring water, a mat and towel, if you have them. (We have some spares available for rental)

  • Stay hydrated throughout the day, take little sips of water if needed during class and remember to rehydrate after class.

  • Aim to arrive early before class. This will give you time to sign in, get ready and introduce yourself.

  • Aim to stay present and listen to your body.

  • Do not force the body. Keep working to progress with correct engagement and alignment, but without being attached to the end goal.

  • Breath is the key to your practice. Aim to keep focus on a steady and even breath. If you find yourself  holding your breath to go deeper into a pose, it is a good indication to pull back effort until you find a smooth breath.

  • Enjoy your class! No judgement or comparing. Yoga is about enjoying the journey as it unfolds
